The opposition alliance’s running mate Faisal Naseem says the opposition will get rid of the current government’s oppression and establish justice in the country.
Faisal said this expressing concern as Kinbindhoo MP Abdulla Riyaz’s incarceration reaches 150 days.
In a tweet on Sunday, Faisal said that even one day spent unjustly in prison is a great oppression.
Noting that Riyaz has spent 150 days away from his family at jail, Faisal said they would get rid of the oppression of this government and will soon establish justice with the grace of God.
Both Riyaz and Faisal are parliamentary group members of Jumhooree Party (JP).
Faisal had previously also called on authorities to release Riyaz from prison.
