President-elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and vice president-elect Faisal Naseem have met the Commissioner of Police Hamdhoon Rasheed on Sunday.
The meeting took place at police headquarters, Shaheed Hussain Adam Building, on Sunday morning.
Former Commissioner of Police and Kinbidhoo MP Abdulla Riyaz, and former head of the Police Intelligence Department Mohamed Hameed also participated in the meeting.
No details of the meeting have so far been disclosed by any party.
Abdulla Nawaz, the acting Commissioner of Police when Solih won the presidential election, has also previously met with the president-elect.
Although the ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) is refusing to accept the election results, police have stated that they accept the poll results and will cooperate with the coalition government.
Solih had also met with the Chief of Defence Force, Major General Ahmed Shiyam in the past.
