President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has advised all the cabinet ministers to steer clear of corruption and actions that could lead to it.
President Solih said this during the first cabinet meeting held by the government on Monday, since his inauguration last Saturday.
According to the President’s Office, the President also requested the cabinet to promptly complete the pledges on the agenda for the first 100 days. The cabinet decided to complete the pledges after carrying out discussions on the rapid assessment carried out by the transition office to identify the condition of state institutes.
Discussions regarding details of the state budget for this year and the next were carried out along with discussions regarding the details of state employees, guidelines and manuals.
The cabinet also discussed about ongoing and planned projects, the issues present and how to solve these problems at the meeting, the President’s Office said.
