Maldives Meteorological Service said the country will experience rain and thunderstorms from 8:00 p.m. of Thursday to 8:00 p.m. of Friday.
According to Met Office, surface winds will vary between northeast and easterly, at 05 - 15 mph in central atolls and 03 - 13 mph in northern atolls, while northwest and northerly winds will be at 03 - 13 mph in southern atolls.
Met Office said the islands between HA. Atoll and V. Atoll will experience the most rain on Thursday night, while seas are expected to be slight during this time.
Meanwhile authorities have cautioned the public against weather conditions as the country is experiencing rainy season.
Due to the damages sustained by flooding in the capital Male’ City on Thursday, National Disaster Management Centre has now established a special center to aid flood victims.
