The country’s first veterinarian clinic “Veterinary Service Center’ has been opened in Vilimale’ on Thursday.
The clinic was opened at the Fisheries Research Center in Vilimale’.
A special ceremony was held to initiate the clinic, and a cat was vaccinated after the opening ceremony. The fisheries minister Zaha Waheed took part in the ceremony.
According to the vet clinic, the ministry’s veterinarian Dr. Hemanti will be serving in the clinic and will provide treatment for general diseases, carry out small surgeries and vaccination.
The clinic will provide treatment for all animals and will also administer services for pet fishes.
While the government had initiated and opened the first official vet clinic in the country, this is a service most of the public had been wishing for. Meanwhile some resorts in the country already have laboratories established for medical research focusing on living things.
