The mobile veterinary service inaugurated by the fisheries ministry temporarily has shut down temporarily.
In a statement released by the fisheries ministry, they informed the public that the veterinarian incharge of running the clinic has had to leave the country due to a family emergency and that services will resume on February 24.
The vet clinic opened by the ministry is the first of its kind in the country. From the times before the clinic was opened, the vet services were given on door-to-door basis.
While the clinic, opened on January 10, has received praise from several animal lovers, the charges for a basic checkup of animals is at MVR 50, and other services rendered are charged between MVR 50-100.
