A government case against former President Abdulla Yameen has been appealed at the Supreme Court.
The hearing of the case will be on Thursday, according to the Supreme Court.
An order for arrest until court proceedings end has already been issued by the Criminal Court in conjunction to his bank accounts being frozen, as well as the case of money laundering raised against him. Although, the order to freeze his accounts and remand him until the court proceedings were done, was revoked by the High Court.
While the government has appealed a case against him in the Supreme Court, hearings of the case of money laundering are ongoing in the Criminal Court.
During the most recent session, several witnesses and proof against the ex-President were presented.
