Permanent Secretary of Islamic Ministry Mus'ab Abdulla has been suspended regarding a case being investigated by Civil Service Commission (CSC).
The news of the suspension was confirmed by the ministry.
According to the Deputy Minster of Islamic Ministry Shafiu Ali, Permanent Secretary (PS) Mus'ab Abdulla has now been informed of his suspension with pay for 30 days and details for the circumstances of his suspension. Although, details of the case being investigated by the CSC were not shared.
PS Mus'ab's suspension comes at a time when Sisilfaru Hajj Group has appealed against the Islamic Ministry to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and Civil Court.
Mus'ab was appointed as PS on July 25, 2017. He has also served as the First Secretary at the Embassy of Maldives in Abu Dhabi.
