Ministry of Education, on Friday, stated that all single session schools will begin their session at 8:00 a.m. in the morning.
According to the ministry, 22 schools throughout the country will be operating as single sessions in the second term. These schools will have supervised exercise programs from 6:00 – 7:00 a.m. in the morning, prior to their official academic hours. Official session hours will begin after the program, the ministry said.
Out of the 22 schools, only one school will begin their supervised exercise program at 7:00 a.m. This was decided due to the complaints received by the parents of that particular school, the ministry said.
The ministry also stated that the decision to begin the supervised exercise program at 6:00 a.m. each day was reached after discussions with parents.
Introducing single-sessions to provide a well-rounded holistic education for the students has been an important policy of the government.
