President of the People's National Congress (PNC) and former Parliament Member for the Fonadhoo Constituency Abdul Raheem Abdulla has said that the government cannot bear having former President Abdulla Yameen in the opposition.
Speaking to the media after arriving from a personal trip to Malaysia, Abdul Raheem said that nothing can be proven against Yameen in court, and that Yameen will heed court summons.
Abdul Raheem said that Yameen is the biggest impediment the current government is facing. He further stated that the country is now seeing the developments and economic advancements from Yameen's government being brought to a halt.
Abdul Raheem said that the political terrain is not operating the way he hoped, and that citizens need to pay attention to it.
He affirmed that the opposition is ready to make the government more accountable, and that they will shortly begin their activities. He assured that all opposition ventures will be done within the boundaries of the law.
Abdul Raheem also criticized the government for providing stately escort to fugitive and conspirator of the November 3 terrorist attack Abdulla Luthfee.
