Almost 420,000 thousand Rohingya Muslims have fled the persecution of the Buddhists in Myanmar, and sought refuge in Bangladesh. The Buddhists along with the Myanmar army have committed unspeakable atrocities against the Muslim minority in Burma. These include murdering innocent men, women and children, and torching the Muslim villages.
There have been reports of children dying due to Pneumonia as the refugees struggle to find shelter and food, many sleeping and eating on the roads.
Thousands of Rohingya Muslims from Rakhine state, who having fled the persecution, narrated first-hand accounts of the horrors they faced in Myanmar. They said that the perpetrators had used petrol and rockets to torch the people and their homes. When they ran, the military and Buddhists gave chase after them, firing guns and raining bullets on them, they said.
