Maldives Investment Forum (MIF) 2017 is set for December 18 in Dubai, UAE.
Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed made the announcement at a ceremony at the National Art Gallery on Wednesday night.
Minister Saeed said the investment forum will be a great benefit to the Maldives tourism sector.
He said the government works to make investment in Maldives easier, and that its results can now be seen.
The forum was originally to be held in Qatar, but the venue was changed after Maldives, with the Arab states, cut diplomatic ties with Qatar in June over accusations of supporting extremism.
Registration for the forum is now open.
MIF is the premier investment promotion event of the Government of Maldives. It began at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore in 2014; annual editions of MIF has been held in Beijing, China (2015) and New Delhi, India (2016).
