Two Maldivian students have been injured during an assault in Sri Lanka.
According to sources, a Sri Lankan also got injured during the assault.
Speaking to VNews regarding the incident, a Maldivian student living in Sri Lanka said the assault took place between Maldivians, however some locals also joined it.
The two Maldivians and the Sri Lankan who were injured are being treated at Dehiwala Kalubowila Hospital.
One of the Maldivians, a 15-year-old, was seriously injured while the other two, both under 18 years, are also being treated for injuries.
VNews understands some students, including Maldivians, fled the scene after the assault took place, and Sri Lankan police are carrying out a special operation to find them.
