Supreme Court Justice Ali Hameed, who was receiving treatment at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) after his health condition worsened whilst under arrest, has been transferred to Dhoonidhoo.
He was hospitalised on February 6, shortly after his arrest.
VNews understands he was treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), in relation to problems with high blood pressure.
After his conditioned stabilized, he was transferred back to Dhoonidhoo on Friday. However, the security forces have not yet commented on where he is being kept and his current condition.
Hameed is being accused of accepting bribes and passing biased verdicts, deliberately obstructing the criminal justice system, and conspiring to overthrow the government.
Police said they have found large sums of money and other evidences in relation to the case.
According to Hameed’s family, since his arrest authorities have not disclosed any information about him.
Police stormed the Supreme Court on Tuesday and arrested Hameed along with Chief Justice Abdulla Saeed.
Judicial Service Commission (JSC) had decided to suspend both the justices pending the outcome of the investigations.
