
New Radiant Sports Club had faced defeat at the hands of Bengaluru FC in the AFC Cup’s group stage match on Tuesday night.
Bengaluru FC won the match 1-0, acquiring a three point lead to New Radiant.
New Radiant played a strong and controlled game throughout the first half of the match and the first half ended in 0-0.
The Indian national team Captain Sunil Chhetri aided the winning goal by Nishu Kumar during the extra time of the match.
The win puts Bengaluru FC at the top of the group with nine points, New Radiant in second place with six points, while Abahany Limited and Aizawl are at third and fourth place respectively without either team having acquired any points.
The second match featuring Bengaluru FC and New Radiant Sports Club will be held at the National Stadium on April 25.
